Carpe Diem

The Dark Aspect has never been short on lectures. Indeed, we're a volatile breed with a lot of shit to say. In fact, it's one of our defining traits. Go to the F.A.'s wiki under the Dark lectures and you will see 10+ years' worth of work other individuals have done on and for this path.

Ten years' worth of work that you can conveniently compliment, criticize, and plagiarize, at your leisure without ever giving anything of yourself back.

This place feeds and grows on the passion of those who feel the call, the song, of the Dark within their very being. There is no respite, no rest, and no excuses. Too long has it been a select few that have actually done something to perpetuate this aspect's growth. Many just bitch, complain, and piss and moan about how nothing goes on here and in fact they are usually the ones that do the least. In fact, this bullshit is usually what counts for passion these days. Passion has been confused with one's ability to throw childish tantrums. Even the role of the adversary has been contaminated with this drivel.

While I can appreciate the drama and passion (that's what makes life worth living), I can, however, do without the stupidity and ignorance. If nothing's being done, if that is truly your opinion on the aspect, then shut the fuck up and do something. I am a Dark Master, I am not your parent. Don't come crying to me, or the council. Apparently, you've forgotten where you are and who exactly you are dealing with.

There's a training program, two in fact. There are audio lecture/lessons. I fail to see what the aspect hasn't done to inspire you and give you things to do. In fact, read my lecture on Responsibilities, and a Vision and I have kept my part of the bargain. Let's be honest and true for once, you couldn't be bothered to participate in the first place to keep yours.

Fine, that's the way things go, and honestly, this path shouldn't be overflowing with members. I'm a firm believer in quality over quantity, and we're not your friendly neighborhood Dark path. In fact, save your homogenization, and cookie-cutter bullshit for where it belongs in the Light aspect. As long as I remain a member of this aspect it will never become such. Darkness is about the individual.

Still, I see no reason to reward you or make it easy for you to get by on others' passion any longer.

This lecture hall will remain empty until such a time as the students and members can be bothered to stop bitching and do something. And when it remains empty, don't point your finger at me, or the council. Point it where it belongs and then shove it up your ass. You want lectures? You want an aspect that's fueled on the passion of its members, then fuel it.

Make us acknowledge you with your actions, and in an online forum, your words count as actions. Show us your passion, your fire, burn us with it.

Instead of sucking the life out of this place and living off of our passion, put some life into it, show us your passion.

This isn't a challenge, and I can do without any excuses or defensive reprisals. As I said, speak with your actions and real passion, put it to some real use on yourself and this path.

This is me putting the responsibility where it belongs.
