History of Sith Realism

Force Realism has had a rich and vibrant history over the last 20+ years. Below is a timeline of those major events.

1987

• The Jedi Code is written for a roleplaying game, as a way to help understand a Jedi character's motivation. Based on the Heart Sutra from Buddhism, the code helped spark the idea that one could live as a Jedi. From the outset, the philosophies of the Jedi and Sith have been pulled from real life.

1995

• The Jedi Academy (also known as the _Jedi Praxeum) is launched by Kharis Nightflyer. Widely regarded as the birth place of Force Realism, it had essays written from the perspective of fictional Jedi giving lectures.

1997

• Jedi Lore is launched by Gedi. Although a roleplaying site, this was the first community where the dark aspect was explored.
• Jedi Council is founded by Mitth'raw, Streen, and Relan Volkum. A roleplaying site that began in the chat rooms that were common in the late 20th century. As people role-played in real-time, and developed lectures, some began to see how these teaching could be applied in the real world.

1998

• Jedi Academy is founded by Baal Legato. Although the Dark Aspect of the Force is explored, it's seen as nothing more than a selfish pursuit. It's also notable as the first site where the focus wasn't on role-playing.
• Jedi of the New Millenium is founded.
• The Force Academy is founded by Forcemaster; This is where the Dark Aspect truly begins to take root, and widely regarded as the birthplace of Sith Realism.
  • Moor becomes head of the Dark Aspect at The Force Academy.
  • The First Dynasty has begun.

1999

• The Jedi Council changes its name to The Jedi Creed.
• Khaos joins the Force Realism community.
• Necrom joins the Force Realism community.

2000

• Temple of the Jedi Arts is founded by Starr & Koren Jay.
• At The Force Academy, the following ensues;
  • Satelle, an apprentice of Moor, ousts him and becomes leader of the Dark Aspect at The Force Academy.
  • The Second Dynasty has begun.
  • Conflicts between members of the First & Second Dynasties result in the Dark Aspect splitting into three factions; Sith, Krath, Jensari.
  • The first civil war of the Sith, known as the "Darkside Archetype Wars" begins between the three factions. The Krath emerge victorious.
  • Satelle launches the Fatum Operandi and unites the three factions into one.

2001

• Khaos becomes active in the Dark Aspect.
• Satelle resigns her position as Head of the Dark Aspect, to lead the Fatum Operandi independently of The Force Academy.

2002

• Richard Irvine becomes Head of the Dark Aspect at The Force Academy.
• The Third Dynasty has begun.

2003

• The Code of the Sith is written for Knights of the Old Republic by David Gaider. Like the Jedi code, it inspired hundreds of people on what being Sith would look like, and how that could be implemented in the real world.

2005

• The Sith Holocron is founded by Silus.
• Sithism is founded.
• SithNet is founded.
• Somewhere around this date, Richard Irvine is banned from The Force Academy for a number of inflammatory remarks against other members.
• Somewhere around this date, Noel Vock ousts Irvine and becomes Head of the Dark Aspect at The Force Academy.
• The Fourth Dynasty has begun.

2006

• Somewhere around this date, after helping to oust Irvine with the help of Vock, Kissed by Shiva accepts the title from Vock, and becomes Head of the Dark Aspect at The Force Academy.
• The Fifth Dynasty has begun.
• The Order of the Ashla Knights is founded by Derek M. Thompson.
• The Order of the Sith is founded by Draconis.
• Khaos is knighted.

2007

• Somewhere around this date, Kissed by Shiva has become inactive. The Dark Aspect continues leaderless in an era known as The First Interregnum.
• Khaos steps forward to become the next Head of the Dark Aspect at The Force Academy.
• The Sixth Dynasty has begun.
• The Sithist Cabal is founded by Seti I Shadim.
• Promethus Unbound is knighted, after being apprenticed to both Moor & Kissed by Shiva.
• Atlas is knighted.
• The Sith Empire is founded by Atlas.
• Draconis becomes the apprentice of Atlas.
• The Order of the Sith re-positions itself as focused on only the Dark Aspect of the Force.
• The first Sith Trivium is formed, compromised of; Necrom, Atlas and Draconis.
• The Dark Holocron is founded by the Sith Trivium.
• Somewhere around this date, the second Sith Trivium is formed, compromised of; Lilth, Atlas, and Draconis.
• The second Sith Trivium attempts to unite all the separate Sith communities. The Sith Order of the Suns is founded.
• The Alumno is founded by Atlas.
• A forum war between the Jedi and Sith communities begins, and will later be known as The Adeptus War.

2008

• Atlas writes a letter urging for Sith unity.
• Miles joins the Sith community.
• Khaos becomes Head of the House of Discordia at The Alumno.

2009

• Draconis steps down as leader of The Order of the Sith, Miles and Khaos become co-heads of The Order of the Sith.

2010

• The Sithist Cabal closes down.
• Draconis is knighted.
• Draconis becomes Head of the Dark Aspect at The Force Academy.
• The Seventh Dynasty has begun.
• Luciana joins the Sith Realism community.

2011

• The Sithist Cabal is re-founded by Dirk Sith.
• Luciana is knighted after being the apprentice of Miles, both at The Force Academy & The Order of the Sith.

2012

• Draconis is still the Head of the Dark Aspect at The Force Academy.
• Somewhere around this time, Aetius becomes a Knight of the Order of the Sith after being the apprentice of Promethus Unbound.
• William Kaede joins and is knighted by David Edge at the Dark Aspect at The Force Academy.

2013

• Draconis is unseated after a power struggle due to his lack of activity and support of Mortose to become the next Head of the Dark Aspect.
• The Second Interregnum has begun.
• The New Sith Order is founded by Sanguinus.
• Luciana becomes a Lady of the Dark Aspect, both at The Force Academy & The Order of the Sith.
• Draconis returns to The Order of the Sith.
• Due to continued infighting within the Dark Aspect, Luciana abdicates her position for William Kaede.
• Due to continued infighting within the Dark Aspect, William Kaede abdicates his position for Kiss.

2014

• Due to continued infighting within the Dark Aspect, Kiss abdicates his position for James Eidolon.

2015

• James Eidolon tries to abdicate in favor of Mortose, but his Dark Council refuses. Khaos becomes the new Head of the Dark Aspect at The Force Academy.

2017

• Luciana usurps Draconis, and becomes The First Dark Lady of The Order of the Sith.
• Draconis retires.
• Kronos becomes an apprentice in the Order of the Sith and the Dark Aspect.
• With the support of Khaos and the majority of the Dark Aspect, David becomes the new Head of the Dark Aspect at The Force Academy. He is the first leader to have majority support since Draconis.
• As Head of the Aspect, David; implements a new training regime, promotes Vandor (Head of the Light Aspect) to being a Dark Lord on his Dark Council, and secretly petitions for Mortose to be allowed back into the Dark Aspect.
• Snowy, a member of David's Dark Council, launches a coup revealing that David was planning on bringing Mortose back.
• Snowy becomes Head of the Dark Aspect at The Force Academy, before immediately disappearing.

2018

• After a period of inactivity from Snowy, Satelle returns and relaunches the Force Academy and becomes Head of the Dark Aspect at The Force Academy. A continuation of the Second Dynasty has begun.
• After Luciana's departure, Kronos becomes Lord of The Order of the Sith.

2019

• Kronos departs.

2023

• Lotus founds the 8th Dynasty of the Dark Aspect at The Force Academy.

2024

• Kronos returns and founds The Knights of Sith.
