Life of a star
I prefer to do this meditation outside at night, you can do it inside though as well. However I have a hard time in general with seated meditation and if doing so, do not like to have walls around me. Do as you prefer.
"Every man and woman is a star." ~ Aleister Crowley
Stand, sit, kneel, or lie down in your usual mediations posture. Relax yourself completely, starting from the top of your head to the bottom of your toes. Then do so once more keeping aware of any tense parts of your body, breathe evenly and allow them to fully relax before moving on.
Once you are relaxed, slow your breathing until you have managed to make each inhale and each exhale about 30 seconds, if you cannot do it for this long do not be troubled, simply do what you can now, and seek to extend your breathing as you go on.
Now, focus your mind on your passions, feel them as a small fire starting at your one point, feed that fire steadily with more of your desires, hopes, dreams, inspirations, in short, all that makes up the collective of your passion for life, allow that fire to fill you spreading from your one point to the rest of your body, to its very limit. Then imagine it getting warmer, and warmer, ultimately becoming almost uncomfortably hot. Let your passion burn within you, feel that heat, let it make you feel that if you do not find release that you will burst. At this point your breathing may, or may not speed up, if so, do not fight it.
You are a star going nova....a sun....a Sith.
Hold that moment for as long as you can, feel the burn, feel the yearning, the desire to have your passions realized until it begins to pull at you, within you. Now draw that fire back into your one point, starting from your extremities feel the fire receding back on its source, imagine a cooling tingle not unlike a waking limb that has fallen asleep come over those parts where the fire has receded.
As the fire gets drawn in on its source, move further to collapse it. Imagine a black hole has now opened up your one point, it grows steadily larger, pulling at the fire, pulling at the very fabric of space and time around you. Imagine your passion(s) coming closer, becoming yours pulled to you by your will to HAVE it because you WANT it. Consume that fire, your passion, let your will be like gravity gone wild, allow the black hole to grow steadily larger. Consuming the fire, yourself, even the room around you until all becomes engulfed in Darkness.
Allow yourself to exist within this Darkness for a time, as it is yours. Then, when you feel enough time has passed open your eyes, and allow your breathing to become natural.
Then take a walk and allow the world to come back to you.
The true nature of passion, is to burn first, and then to pull inward, to bring that for which you burn closer to you. Like a Star that burns first ever brighter only to collapse into Darkness and pull to the point that not even space and time can ignore or resist its call.
The Darkness is not empty.
It is full of fire.
