Mental Predisposition
Thoughts of a young lady:
Sometimes I love to go and sit outside in the sunshine. The idea thrills me! Warm glorious sunshine, the birds singing, the deep blue sky, the vibrant green grass stretching out ahead of me.
But why does no one ever come and talk to me? They always ignore me... they walk straight past... I think it would be cool if people would interact together and chill and have fun and be friendly! I suppose we can dream...
The same lady a week later:
Sometimes I love to go and sit outside in the sunshine. The idea thrills me! Warm glorious sunshine, the birds singing, the deep blue sky, the vibrant green grass stretching out ahead of me.
But why do people always have to spoil it? They come and talk to me, disturb me. Can’t they see I just want to relax? To enjoy the moment?
This isn’t a fable made up by me to illustrate a point. It is a true story, about an exceptional woman. Our mind can often interpret things in contrasting ways. The only common factor found in both scenarios is a sense of unhappiness.
This predisposition towards unhappiness GOVERNED the lady's life. We could take another person, with a predisposition to be happy, and they would see the good side in both situations. What we expect to happen often happens. It happens because we create it wherever possible.
We see the world through a certain perspective. That perspective is defined by the means our mind uses to process its inputs. If the MO is to assume for the worst, the worst will be seen.
At the end of the day, is the glass half full or half empty?
The glass is what you choose.
You choose happiness, and this will catapult via the chaos effect into a strong governing body in your life.
You choose misery, and you shall reap misery upon yourself and those around you. You shall feed misery into the world.
So, take the power and choose.
